Multi-millionaire Shaf Rasul hits factory floor after Social Bite founder auctions him off for charity
The business mogul traded in designer suits and supercars after being sold to Window Supply Company for the day
MULTI-MILLIONAIRE Shaf Rasul went back to basics after being sold to a window making factory for the day.
The business mogul had to trade in his designer suits and supercar when Social Bite founder Josh Littlejohn auctioned him off to Window Supply Company to raise money for his charity.
And director Ron Hepburn revealed it was £6,500 well spent to see the entrepreneur become one of the lads.
But Scottish Sun columnist Shaf reckons he isn’t cut out for manual labour.
He says: “I don’t even think I’ve even changed a lightbulb before.
“I’ve certainly never done anything like this — but it was for a great cause so I couldn’t say no to Josh.
Ron was more than happy to stump up the large sum of cash to get Shaf to his Livingston-based branch.
And he made sure he got his money’s worth.
Ron adds: “It was £6,500 well spent. We did get him working on some of the machines and making windows for us.
“But we really wanted advice on how to grow as a business as well. He’s had a chat about growth, how to overcome challenges and offered some great advice.”
Charity guru Josh — who brought George Clooney and Leonardo Dicaprio to Scotland for events — thanked Shaf for being game for a laugh.
He says: “Our target at the auction dinner last year was to raise £100,000 and we raised £150,000.
“Shaf played a big part in that and has been a big supporter of Social Bite over the last few years.
“We’ve had three sleepout events and he’s done it every year and is always the number one fundraiser. He’s very competitive.”
