I’ve always believed that the spaces we create should do more than just serve a function. They should inspire, surprise, and spark conversation. That’s why I’m genuinely proud of what we’re doing at BOXXS Self Storage in Linlithgow this July.

For one day only, on Sunday 6th July, BOXXS will be transformed into something altogether unexpected—an open-air art gallery. Scotland’s elusive and globally recognised street artist The Rebel Bear is bringing his large-scale works to the industrial edge of West Lothian, turning the exterior of our storage units into a bold public canvas.

At first glance, this might seem like an odd match. What does self-storage have to do with street art? The answer is everything. Both are about reclaiming space, telling stories, and building something meaningful in places most people overlook. Our containers are more than just square footage they’re opportunities. And for one extraordinary day, they’ll be opportunities for art.

What excites me most is that this isn’t a slick gallery show behind velvet ropes. It’s raw, accessible, and unapologetically public. Families, art lovers, curious locals everyone is welcome. The event is free, there’ll be 500 complimentary ice creams, and the vibe will be one of celebration and surprise.

Some of the murals created by The Rebel Bear will remain on site at BOXXS even after the exhibition. Others will find new life at our upcoming developments across Scotland. What starts as a temporary event has the potential to leave a permanent mark.

At SRA Ventures, we’re not afraid to do things differently. Whether we’re investing in overlooked properties or experimenting with new models like this, the goal is always the same—create value by creating culture.

Come see for yourself how storage can be more than storage. Come see what happens when a bear, a spray can, and a vision collide.
